Abuse sick leave to get off work

> The fact that three quarters of Malaysian workers have taken sick leave and 27% lied that they were sick to get off work should not come as a surprise, said Awang Selamat in his Bisik Bisik column in Utusan Malaysia.

The columnist said it was indeed a “disease” among Malaysian workers to call in sick even though they were not.

He said abusing sick leave was a challenge that the private sector would have to face as it affected productivity.

Calling for serious action to be taken, the columnist urged hospitals and clinics to be more efficient in handling sick leave cases and not to be too quick to dispense medical chits.

Awang Selamat believes that if the country is too blase in dealing with these fraudulent cases, it will result in a society of workers with low ethics.

Housewife jailed 18 years for abusing her maid

Housewife Yim Pek Ha was jailed 18 years on three counts of causing grievous hurt to her former Indonesian maid Nirmala Bonat in a trial that attracted nationwide attention.

She was however acquitted on the fourth charge of breaking the maid’s nose supposedly with a steel mug.

Akhtar jailed Yim 18 years on each count, saying: “To do it one time is cruel, more than one time is more cruel. You deserve to serve the jail term consecutively but it will be harsh if I send you (to prison) for 54 years, so the sentence will run concurrently.”

Yim was charged with causing hurt to Nirmala with a hot iron, hot water and a metal cup at her house at Villa Putera, Jalan Tun Ismail here in 2004. The offence carries a maximum 20 years’ jail and fine or whipping.

Omg, 18 years for this? How about raping? Shouldn't it be lifetime prison? The lesson is don't try to commit crime in Malaysia because the prison serve here are a lot longer. Go other countries..lol

Days are not good right now..

I know the current financial crisis landed them and they are trying to make a living here...Someone even offered me 20% for few millions for helping her to get the money because her dad was dead poisoned by businessman..Nonsense..

Dilemma after another..

Dilemma comes one after another. After graduating from diploma, okay, lets proceed to degree but how? where? when? I been thru that process and ended up doing my degree at Northumbria U. So, I'm graduating from my finance degree b4 chinese new year..What's next? Contribution to a higher unemployment rate in Malaysia. Recession is expected to land Malaysia next year, they will be alot of companies retrenching employees. More will be unemployed, more will lose income, and being poorer, Malaysian lost the spending power. Business will go down, and again cut employees..

Okay, i dont want to find myself a job so soon upon graduating. So after 16 days of Chinese new year break, flying 2 weeks to Kota Kinabalu, equal to 1 month unemployed. lol..Should i be working in TI if the salary equal the salary i can get in KL? I can save alot of money but i lost the life i've can get in the big city..Lol..Hooray, yet another dilemma.

No offense evaluation..Ciptaan semata-mata..

Two years ago, i lost partial of it, and now, i'm losing it completely.

its been a week since i last updated...Was busy in TI, getting my new IC b4 i got myself in lokap..The day i reach kl on wednesday, went to the gym for my last day. But was damn tired..And need to work on the other day at low yat. Dont say updating my blog, i hardly have some time for my gf..

And on saturday, i had my sleeping spree..Wake up at 1.30, eat and lepak, sleep back at 3.40 and wake up at 5.30..Hahaha..I rejected sheateng to go the curve..

I'm going back home..

I'm going back ti today and will ponteng monday's classes. Too bad for Ms Lisa because she couldnt see me. She showed me her buku lima b4 and ask me not to ponteng her class..Where to find such lecturer? lol..There are a few reasons im going back. License mati, collect my new IC because my temporary IC expiring next week. I don wana get caught and put into the lokap for 3 months. So long guys..To those at ti, lets yumcha tonight or tomolo night..Ohh i miss chee cheong fun and char kuey tiao..

Man utd survived...

I was enjoying watching the match from start until Hull City scored their 3rd and it made me worried that Manutd..The time i was watching the match at home, bee went out with sheateng. And when he came back, he thought that i told sumpit they all that they went out together so he keeps smiling at me. I was so blank and couldn't figure out what happened..Ops..Am i telling too much about them?

Okay, I ignored it and watch the 2nd half of the match. C.Ronaldo brought Manutd ahead on the 3rd min. When Hull City scored the equalizer i remain calm cos from the way Manutd play, I'm confidence they can tame those tigers. After Carrick, Ronaldo and Vidic scored and bring Manutd 4-1 ahead, I thought the win was secured. But Hull later make it 4-3 by scoring in the 69' and 82' minute. And it make me uneasy and worried for the remaining 8 minutes because Hull City played like god.

The star of the day..Scoring 2 goals and seems to be less selfish already..

I'm having a dilemma between berbatov and rooney..Rooney are my star before berbatov came in on August 31. I like berbatov playing style and rooney's work rate..But i only have one Man Utd jersey to put the name of one of them. I know kean tat and bee sure come and say "buy one more jersey la then u can put both". lol..

Genting Wild and Sleepless

Finally, im determined to update my blog..So, lets talk about my genting trip that took place on sunday 26th. We planned to go at around 10 but because of malaysian culture, there are alot of delays. So lastly we had dimsum at breakfast at around 11 and reach genting at around 1.

I asked her don take my photo many times already..The weather is hot and easy..I know i'm going to get lucky..

After taking this pict, sheateng told us that she is expecting to get an SLR as her next bday present and she love mother nature..

While stuck in the jam going into First world parking..

Whole bunch of people waiting for our turn to check in..It took us more than 1 hour with like 150peoples more waiting for their turns too..At the same time, i cant wait to go to the casino..
